I have good intentions to post, but then get distracted by a small person clamoring to play on PBSKids.org or Noggin.com!  We had a lovely time on our trip to Vermont.  The weather left something to be desired, but was gorgeous on the day of my niece’s wedding, and really that’s all that mattered.  We made it to the Smithsonian; Little Guy LOVED the dinosaurs of course.  Never did make it to Port Discovery, oh well.

Looking forward to a busy Fall season.  Twice a week preschool starts next week, oh my!  I hope he does well on the days I am not co-oping!  I think he will really enjoy it though.  Also have a weekend at the beach coming up, and a visit to Pirate Weekend at the Maryland Renaissance Fair-bringing back the pirate ship stroller!

We got our tickets to the Disney Block Party concert at Merriweather next week-Little Guy is excited even though he doesn’t really know what we’re talking about!  He knows we’re going to see They Might Be Giants, his absolute favorite music.  I’m looking forward to seeing Dan Zanes too!  I was in high school when I saw my first concert, kids these days get to go as preschoolers!

So here we are at mid-July; summer is half over! We’ve been having lots and lots of fun:

• 10 days at the beach, we had perfect weather
• Play dates with co-op friends
• parties and more parties
• Little Guy’s first movie theater experience, we saw Wall E and it was awesome!
• Little Guy spent a weekend being spoiled by Auntie so we could see Prince Caspian-how much did Eddie Izzard as Reepicheep rock?!!
• Mama stayed with us while Auntie was on vacation
• lots of splashy play with the hose and water table

We’re looking forward to visiting the Smithsonian and Port Discovery, and a trip to Vermont for a wedding in August.

It’s been too long since I’ve updated.  Third birthday, which was so anticipated, has come and gone.  He had a great day and isn’t really so much a Little Guy anymore!

3 is fun.  3 is interested in everything.  3 is silly.  3 is so very active.

Preparation are in full swing for the big birthday bash this weekend. Hoping the forecast stays true and we have nice weather. 20+ people including 6 kids won’t fit in our house! What he wants on his cake changes from day to day, which is very amusing. I may just end up making a sheet cake and cupcakes too so all his favorite things can be represented!

The calendar says it’s Spring, even though the weather isn’t exactly cooperating.  I’m tired of wearing turtlenecks and winter coats to play outside.  One day we’re running around in just t-shirts, the next it’s cold.

The big #3 birthday is in less than 2 weeks-how did that happen?  Wasn’t he just a baby?  He just amazes and delights us each and every day.  Lucky, lucky us.  Lots of fun stuff is coming up, too.

Happy that baseball season is in full swing!  Happy that the Orioles have surprised everyone with a 5 game win streak to open the season, Wow!

We went to Dinosaur Land on Friday-pretty much the mecca for little boys!

One of my Internet pals (or, imaginary friends as P calls them!) is in Guatemala today picking up her daughter!  She has 2 adorable little boys, and now has her little girl.  It’s been interesting to follow her process because Guatemala is so different from Korea.  She was able to visit her daughter twice while waiting, which is so wonderful.  Congratulations to the R family!!
