Has it really been since March? So much has happened since then, most of it pretty lousy. 2009 in general has been the Year of Craptacular Suckage.

It’s been too long since I’ve updated. Third birthday, which was so anticipated, has come and gone. He had a great day and isn’t really so much a Little Guy anymore!

3 is fun. 3 is interested in everything. 3 is silly. 3 is so very active.

Spring

The calendar says it’s Spring, even though the weather isn’t exactly cooperating. I’m tired of wearing turtlenecks and winter coats to play outside. One day we’re running around in just t-shirts, the next it’s cold.

The big #3 birthday is in less than 2 weeks-how did that happen? Wasn’t he just a baby? He just amazes and delights us each and every day. Lucky, lucky us. Lots of fun stuff is coming up, too.

Happy that baseball season is in full swing! Happy that the Orioles have surprised everyone with a 5 game win streak to open the season, Wow!

Doldrums

Isn’t it time for Spring yet? We had a tease of warmth at the start of the week, then ice at the end. I was sick, then P followed along; hoping that Little Guy stays healthy. I’m ready for it to be nice enough to play outside for longer than 10 minutes in a heavy coat!

So many times I mean to post something…

Halloween is approaching; we still have to carve our jack o’ lantern, but the costume is all sorted. He’s wearing his pirate outfit from the Renn Faire. We’ll be trick or treating in the “better candy” neighborhood, full of high-priced homes!

We have our Halloween party for preschool tomorrow-we’ll be going as the 1983 World Series-bonus points if you can guess what exactly that entails…

Where Did the Summer Go?

Having a hard time wrapping my brain around the fact that the summer is officially over now! We spent the last weekend at the beach; weather was picture-perfect, it was hard to come home and get back into the swing of things. We had a busy but good summer, lots of trips and fun things.

I got his features, beautiful blue eyes that change color dependent upon what I wear, a love of reading and the knowledge that as a twin, I was pretty special. I can’t pass any physical atrtributes to our baby, but the best way to honor his memory is to share the intangible things I got from Dad.
